Betty McCollum, Democratic Congresswoman represents Minnesota at the House of Representatives) has submitted a bill under the title of "Defending the Rights of Palestinian Children and Families Live under Israeli Military Occupation".

The draft quotes recommendations of two previous conferences on enhancing human rights and safety of the Palestinian children.

"Wafa"  a Palestinian news agency, revealed that the bill prohibits Israel from using funds of US taxpayers in military detention or maltreatment of the Palestinian children, confiscating properties and demolishing houses of Palestinians.

The bill stresses that such crimes committed by the Israeli authorities contradict with the international human law.

It proposes challenging any   step taken  unilaterally by Israel to join Palestinian territories in the West Bank and the Valley of Jordan River.

Betty McCollum affirmed that the United States of America (USA ) must takes the responsibility for how to use aids funded by taxpayers in the countries that receive those aids including Israel.

She slams Congress for discarding Israel's maltreatment of Palestinians who are exposed to unjust harsh behavior of the Israelis and their military occupation.

The bill enjoys wide-range support of coalitions compromise tens of American churches of various denominations and the two movements of J Street and Jewish Voices for Peace.

Also a number of Palestinian- American foundations declared support to McCullum's bill.

Those foundations include Justice Movement ( Adalat), the Human Rights Organization for Palestine as well as organizations of US Muslims  such as American Muslims for Palestine.

On the other hand,   US President Joe Biden's administration plans to provide $235m (£171m) of aid to Palestinians, restoring part of the assistance cut by Donald Trump.

Two-thirds will go to the UN's agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, which has suffered a financial crisis since it lost $360m of US funding in 2018, as the BBC said.

Biden wants to "restore credible engagement" by the Palestinians in long-stalled peace talks with Israel.

Palestinian leaders accused Mr Trump of being heavily biased towards Israel.
