Big Bad Wolf Books, the world’s largest book sale, has arrived in Egypt for the first time, making its debut at the 56th Cairo International Book Fair in partnership with the Sharjah Book Authority.

The event, running from January 23 to February 5, 2025, at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center in New Cairo, promises book lovers an unparalleled experience with discounts of up to 75% on a vast collection of English-language titles.

Located in Hall 6, the Big Bad Wolf Books pavilion offers a diverse selection of books spanning genres such as science fiction, literature, young adult, business, cookbooks, art and design, and children’s books.

The initiative aims to make high-quality books affordable and accessible to all, furthering the brand’s mission of cultivating a global culture of reading.

Founded in Malaysia in 2009 by Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng, Big Bad Wolf Books has become a transformative force in the book industry, traveling to over 48 cities across 17 countries and offering millions of books at unbeatable prices.

The founders expressed their excitement about bringing the initiative to Egypt, highlighting their commitment to tailoring the collection to Egyptian readers.

“Our presence at the Cairo International Book Fair reflects our dedication to making books accessible to everyone,” said co-founder Andrew Yap.

“We’ve worked tirelessly to create a collection that resonates with Egyptian readers, and we look forward to welcoming book enthusiasts from across the country.”

Jacqueline Ng, co-founder, emphasized the long-term vision for the brand’s presence in Egypt, stating, “This is just the beginning. We plan to expand to other cities and collaborate with cultural and educational institutions to ensure books remain affordable for students, researchers, and institutions. Our mission has always been to bridge the gap between readers and books.”

The Cairo debut also signals the start of Big Bad Wolf Books’ broader plans to establish a strong foothold in Egypt, with additional campaigns planned for multiple cities throughout the year.

Visitors to the pavilion can expect not only discounted books but also a unique, immersive experience designed to inspire a lifelong love of reading.

Big Bad Wolf Books invites all book lovers, cultural organizations, and educational institutions to visit their pavilion in Hall 6 of the Egypt International Exhibitions Center.
