Democratic candidate for the US presidential elections, Joe Biden, wished President Donald Trump and his wife Melania to recover soon after announcing that they got infected with the emerging Coronavirus.
On Friday, Biden tweeted that he and his wife are wishing the American president and his wife to recover quickly, saying: "We will continue praying for the health and safety of the president and his family."
The senior official in Biden presidential campaign said that she had not received a warning from the Trump campaign of the possibility of Biden being infected after their debates together a few days ago.
She also added that they did not think of any risk because "we were never close to them."
Trump announced, hours earlier, that he and his wife got infected with Coronavirus, shortly after announcing his adviser Hope Hicks's infection.
CNN National Security Analyst Samantha Winograd said that Trump is at "high risk" due to his age and weight, as he suffers from obesity, which is a risk factor for the most severe symptoms of Coronavirus.
