US President Joe Biden stated that the United States, with the help of Egypt and Qatar, has reached a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
Speaking at a press conference, Biden said the agreement aims to halt the fighting in Gaza, increase humanitarian aid for Palestinian civilians, and reunite detainees with their families after more than 15 months.
"Negotiations regarding Gaza will continue for the longest possible ceasefire. In the coming weeks, we will discuss with the Israelis the second phase of the Gaza agreement," US President added.
