US President Joe Biden has urged Congress to allot $ 715  billion for US Defense Department ( the Pentagon) to contain possible threats.

According to a draft of the main budget published on the official website of the White House on the Internet, the presidential request includes the allotment of $715 billion.

The proposed sum will be used to fund the confrontations of expected threats of China as the major task of the Pentagon over the next period.

The US Defense Department also seeks to contain destabilizing behavior of Russia in Europe and other parts of the world.

On the other hand, Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of the Department of Homeland  Security has revealed that US President mulls over resuming construction of the wall on the southern borders with Mexico that was started by his predecessor Donald G. Trump years earlier.

Mayorkas addressed the staff of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE) last week as saying the new stage of construction aims at patching gaps in the border wall between the USA and Mexico.

He made clear that Biden ordered to stop construction due to provide room to make decisions to improve the wall.

He added that Biden told officials of the  Department of Homeland  Security that he decided to terminate the state of emergency that led to the use of the Pentagon budget to fund the border wall.

Mayorkas stressed that Biden's decision sought to re-qualify some points in the wall and complete some other projects such as adding more gates.

On the other hand, a poll conducted in the USA showed that 44% of the respondents think that the Joe Biden administration takes responsibility for the crisis on the US- Mexico border more than the Trump administration.

The poll was conducted by experts at the Hill-HarissX over the period March 24-26.

Members of the sample said that Biden is responsible for increasing the figures of immigrants on the borders, meanwhile, 28% of the respondents take the responsibility to Trump.
