On Thursday, US President Joe Biden will start an official visit to Canada, and this will be his first visit there.
Biden's visit to Canada will take two days. During his visit, the president will meet with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the First Lady, and several high-ranking officials including the Secretary of State and Minister of Finance.
During the last day of the visit, Biden will deliver a speech to the Canadian Parliament.
According to White House statements, during his visit, Biden intends to affirm Washington's commitment to partnership with Ottawa, and to strengthen cooperation in increasing common security and implementing democratic goals.
His meeting with Trudeau, in particular, will revolve around efforts to support Ukraine, increase pressure on Russia through sanctions, and issues of trade, immigration, climate change and others.
Russia sent, earlier, a memorandum to the countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) because of the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov indicated that any shipment containing weapons to Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia.
