US President Joe Biden will receive New Zealand Prime Minister (PM) Jacinda Ardern at the White House on Tuesday as the two leaders continue to advance their bilateral partnership and shared vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific.

In a press release, the White House said that Ardern's visit to the United States (US) is the first by a New Zealand leader since 2014.

The two leaders will discuss strengthening cooperation in support of the Pacific Islands region, as well as a range of issues, including the Indo-Pacific economic framework, addressing the climate change crisis, and combating terrorism, extremism, and violence, according to the statement.

Biden's deputy, Kamala Harris, is scheduled to meet with New Zealand's PM at the White House.
