The White House has confirmed that US President Biden will host Jordan's King Abdullah II for a private lunch on Thursday.
The King met with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday while in Washington.
After their meeting, McCarty tweeted, "As Speaker, it's a privilege to have my first foreign leader visit—the King of Jordan—at the Capitol."
McCarthy continued, "I want to thank you for your friendship and your tremendous efforts to bring about peace in the Middle East.
