US President Joe Biden announced Friday that he and his family plan to spend Presidents’ Day weekend at Camp David, marking their first trip since he took office last month.

“We’re going to be up at Camp David for Valentine’s Day,” Biden told reporters Friday as he surveyed First Lady Jill Biden’s display of large hearts with messages including “Love” and “Unity” on the North Lawn of the White House.

The president added that he hoped to “just hang out with the family and do what we always do.”

He spent last weekend at his home in Wilmington, Delaware, as he owns a beach house in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

On a different note, he has previously affirmed that the country will have enough COVID-19 vaccines for 300 million Americans by the end of July, stressing that there wasn’t a rollout plan in place under the Trump administration.

“Within three weeks, ’round the clock work with so many people standing behind me and in front of me, we’ve now purchased enough vaccine supply to vaccinate all Americans, and now we’re working to get those vaccines into the arms of millions of people,” the president said during his speech at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
