On Tuesday, the White House announced that President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden will attend President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration next January.
Senior deputy press secretary at the White House Andrew Bates said: "The president promised that he would attend the inauguration of whomever won the election," adding: "He and the First Lady are going to honor that promise and attend the inauguration."
Early this month, Donald Trump was elected the 47th president of the United States after winning the votes of Wisconsin to clear the 270 electoral votes that he needed to reach the White House.
