US President Joe Biden stressed the need to increase humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which will be possible by stopping the fighting under the upcoming agreement.
This came according to the American Al-Hurra channel during a phone call that the US President made with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this Sunday evening.
The White House indicated, in a statement, that Biden stressed to “Netanyahu” the necessity of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the immediate return of the hostages.
The statement explained that the two sides discussed negotiations towards an agreement to release the hostages and reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
