US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida stressed that any Russian use of a nuclear weapon in Ukraine would be a hostile act against humanity and unjustified in any way.

In a joint statement during their meeting in Washington, D.C., the two leaders affirmed their continued support for Ukraine in the face of Russian attacks on critical infrastructure.

Moreover, they reiterated their strong opposition to the war that Russia is waging against Ukraine, stressing the continuation of imposing sanctions on Russia, as well as their unwavering support to Ukraine.

In addition, Biden and Kishida reaffirmed that their alliance remains the cornerstone of peace, security and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.
