US President-elect, Joe Biden, revealed Sunday his first decision upon entering the White House, which he described as facing an "existential threat."
Biden said that the first decision he will take upon entering the White House and officially taking office is to rejoin to the "Paris Climate Agreement."
He added that his administration will focus on combating climate change, noting that this is an existential threat not only to the United States but to all people.
The president-elect said manifested this will be along with providing about a quarter of a million immediate jobs for US citizens affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic, which caused the decline of the US economy.
“On day one, my administration will rejoin the Paris Agreement and put America back in the business of leading the world on climate change,” Biden tweeted.

He also stressed that his administration will seek to modernize the water, transportation and energy infrastructure, so that about half a million stations for charging electric cars will be built, and about 1.5 million energy-saving homes.
Biden introduced a number of members of his environmental management team, including Rep. Deb Haaland as Minister of the Interior, and to be the first female candidate who is a Native American.
Moreover, he chose Gina McCarthy to oversee the coordination of climate policy and McCarthy was serving as director of the Environmental Protection Agency in the administration of former President Barack Obama.
