US President Joe Biden has declared a major federal disaster in Kentucky after the deadly tornadoes that hit the country on Saturday killing at least 79.
Biden confirmed that he is working with US state governors to ensure they get what they need, amid tornadoes that swept parts of the country.
“To lose a loved one in a storm like this is an unimaginable tragedy. We’re working with Governors to ensure they have what they need as the search for survivors and damage assessments continue,” Biden tweeted.
Noteworthy, Severe storms and tornadoes have swept 5 central US states, killing dozens of people.
The American newspaper “The Hill” reported on its website that strong storms and tornadoes hit the states of Kentucky, Illinois, Arkansas, Tennessee and Missouri.
