Beyoncé officially declared her support for Democratic nominees Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Instagram on Monday, a day ahead of the 2020 US election.
“Come thru, Texas! #vote 😘,” Beyoncé wrote, targeting her home state, which is one of a handful of critical swing states that could help determine the election.
The post featured the pop star in a Biden and Harris mask and “I voted” sticker on her hat.
This is not the first time Beyoncé has expressed her support for a presidential candidate. The singer and her husband, Jay-Z, spoke out in support of Hillary Clinton in 2016 at an event in Ohio, where she performed and paid homage to the politician in a sharp matching pantsuit.
The 2020 United States presidential election is taking place on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Voters will select presidential electors who in turn will vote on December 14, 2020, to either elect a new president and vice president or re-elect current US president Donald Trump, and Mike Pence.
