There are plenty of tourist destinations places in Hurghada during winter holidays. Egypt, especially Hurghada is home to the most sunny winter destinations in the world.
*Shedwan Island
It is a rocky island located 30 kilometers from Hurghada. It is famous as a touristic site for underwater ping and fishing. Visitors are allowed to swim and pe in specific places. Pilot whales and large pods of dolphins could be spotted around the island.
The 70-km-island witnessed a well-known battle between the Egyptian and Israeli armies during their war. The island was fortified and held by Egyptian troops. On 22 January 1970, it was the site of Operation Rhodes, a heliborne assault by Israeli troops, which occupied the island for 36 hours.
Shedwan Island
*Siyul Kebira:
Siyul is the name of the Island which the reef surrounds and Kebira means "Large" in English. It is an amazing pe site with fabulous hard and soft coral, glassfish, lionfish, schools of sweetlips and butterfly fish. Tourists could only visit the site by safari boats.
Its depth ranges between 10m to 30m. The reef’s upper section is also a home for snapper, banner fish, and angelfish. Divers can notice leopard sharks resting on the sandy bottom in around 12-15 meters of water.
*Sackalla District
It is located in the center of Hurghada; it represents the main market in the city. It looks like Cairo's Ataba area.
The district is like a 'bee-hive' as it is famous for the bustling nightlife because of the numerous nightclubs, cafes, and restaurants in this place.
There are several shops and bazaars where visitors can purchase souvenirs and local products. The place dates back to being the old port of Hurghada.
Sackalla District
*Careless Reef
Carless Reef is the most famous coral shoal in the coastal area of Hurghada. This pe site is situated one hour of Hurghada. With an average of depth of 20 meters, pers can spot a hammerhead shark.
The reef itself consists of two coral towers brushing the water surface. The valley between these towers is about 16m deep and offers a wide range of pe possibilities for less experienced pers. A few meters east and well beyond 40m; experienced pers can find many caves to explore.
Carless Reef
International websites and bloggers lauded their trips to the site, saying it is highly recommended for any per. The reef contains some of the best sights for ping in and around Hurghada. It is a must for pers and snorkelers.
Beautiful creatures like large gorgonians, coral fish, moray eels, and pushing black corals could be also spotted as well as whitetip sharks.
