Zamalek midfielder Ashraf Bencharki blasted on Wednesday Zamalek former star Ahmed Hossam Mido after the former football player claimed that the Moroccan player wants to leave the club.

On his Instagram page, the Moroccan player wrote a verse from Holy Quran to reply on what Mido said on Tuesday.

"O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful."

Prominent TV anchor Ahmed Shobir said on Wednesday that Ashraf  Bencharki’s agent denied rumours about the departure of the Moroccan player.

Rumours continued to spread, especially after Zamalek’s 2-1 loss to Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League, and after their shock defeat to Taa’la Al Gish in Egypt Cup.

Egyptian reports had claimed earlier Bencharki called upon his agent to negotiate with Zamalek about his departure from the club.
