Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir led the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday under heavy Israeli police protection, according to Israel's Channel 12.

The Palestinian News Agency reported that settlers, led by Ben Gvir, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound from the Mughrabi Gate, conducted provocative tours, and performed Talmudic rituals, coinciding with the second day of Sukkot.

The settlers carried vegetable offerings in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem as part of their religious rituals to mark Sukkot.

According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), Israeli occupation forces arrested a freed prisoner from the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, after raiding his home. They also raided the town of Al-Khader to the south and the village of Al-Shawawra to the east. Israeli occupation forces also arrested a young man from the village of Beit Ur al-Tahta, west of Ramallah.

In Hebron, a Palestinian was injured by live Israeli occupation bullets near the apartheid wall built on Palestinian land in the town of Tarqumiya, west of Hebron, in the southern West Bank. He was subsequently taken to hospital.
