Belgium has officially declared its unwavering support for South Africa's case, accusing Israel of committing acts of genocide, pending a decision by the International Court of Justice to halt the conflict in Gaza.

Caroline Gennez, Minister of Development Cooperation, took to her social media platform to affirm Belgium's steadfast backing for the case before the International Court of Justice.

She stated, "Belgium once again confirms its full support for the case before the International Court of Justice. If the court requests Israel to cease its military operation against Gaza, our country will provide its complete support."

The Belgian minister continued, saying, "Our nation bears responsibility for human rights and international humanitarian law."

Gennez pledged to continue their commitment to ensuring the full delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza as soon as possible, on all fronts.

She emphasized that Belgium would persist in advocating for a permanent ceasefire within the European Union and on the international stage, along with ensuring full humanitarian access, releasing prisoners, adhering to international law, and pursuing a two-state solution.
