Belgian Ambassador and North Sinai Governor Inspect Rafah Crossing

Major General Dr. Khaled Maghawer, Governor of North Sinai, accompanied the Belgian Ambassador to Egypt, Bart De Groof, and his accompanying diplomatic delegation on a field visit to the Rafah Crossing. The visit was part of an official tour aimed at observing the humanitarian and service efforts undertaken by the Egyptian state in the region.

During the tour, the Governor provided a detailed explanation of the operational mechanisms within the crossing, highlighting its vital role in receiving wounded Palestinians and facilitating the passage of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that Egypt continues its intensive efforts to ensure the organized and safe flow of relief, reflecting its commitment to supporting the Palestinian people under the current circumstances.

He also noted the ongoing coordination among the various relevant authorities to streamline logistical procedures and expedite the entry of aid, while maintaining the highest levels of readiness and efficiency in managing the crossing.
