Belarus to Establish Pharma Research Centre to Expand Global Reach

In a step intended to strengthen scientific cooperation and expand high-value drug production, Belarus is set to establish an international research centre in the pharmaceuticals sector within the next two years, TV BRICS reported.

The planned centre is set to carry out research not only to meet domestic demands but also to serve international clients, strengthening Belarus’s standing in the global pharmaceutical and scientific arena.

India, one of the world’s foremost pharmaceutical producers, plays a pivotal role in the project. Collaboration with India is viewed as a strategic priority, facilitating the exchange of expertise and advancing the development of cutting-edge pharmaceutical technologies.

The initiative aims to establish a complete technological cycle, encompassing every stage from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing high-tech finished pharmaceutical products with a high degree of localisation.

Meanwhile, Belarus is also pursuing joint research efforts in the pharmaceutical field with Russian partners, further broadening its international cooperation.

Overall, the centre is expected to boost the country’s research capabilities, foster innovation in the pharmaceutical sector, and support the creation of globally competitive medical products.
