The security forces in Beirut reinforced the security barriers at the entrance and around the Parliament in Beirut, amid expectations of a new wave of protests, Monday. The security reinforced after the devastating explosion of Beirut port.

According to the Sky News Arabia correspondent, Lebanon is witnessing a security readiness after two nights of widely-spread demonstrations against the political class, protesting against what the demonstrators describe as "official negligence", after the port apocolytic explosion.

On Sunday, Lebanese police fired tear gas in an attempt to disperse protesters who were throwing stones and blocking the road near Parliament, on the second day of anti-government protests after the horrific explosion.
