Italian luxury house Bulgari has named Syrian actor Bassel Khaiat as its first male ambassador from the Middle East.
Khaiat, one of the most distinguished and critically acclaimed actors in the Arab world of film, was chosen to “lend his unparalleled charm and sophistication to Bulgari's legacy”.
“Bassel Khaiat's illustrious career, marked by his exceptional talent and timeless appeal, perfectly aligns with Bulgari's commitment to craftsmanship and sophistication… [He] is one of the most distinguished actors in the Arab world,” Bulgari said in a statement.
“I am extremely proud and excited to join Bulgari family as the first male regional ambassador,” Khaiat said to his 2.3 million followers on Instagram. “This opportunity allows me to embody the brand's rich legacy and heritage…”
Khaiat started his acting career in a children’s theatre aged just eight.
With a long list of roles in his distinguished acting career, the actor is also known for breaking into international audiences with Netflix’s "Tango" in 2018, as well as judging the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children.
He studied Acting at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, and for more than two decades Khaiat has been one of the most sought after Arab actors in his field.
