This morning, authorities in Tunisia closed the Bardo square leading to the parliament, to prevent a "licensed" sit-in, called by national parties, to demand the dissolution of the parliament, the amendment of the constitution, and holding an early elections.

Many parties participate in this sit-in, such as the "June 14 Movement", the Tunisian Youth Movement and the National Salvation Front, along with the Bardo Movement 2.

Member of the National Salvation Front, "Harak 14 June", Maher Al-Khishnawi, told Sky News Arabia that Bardo Square has been closed as well as all the access points, despite obtaining a prior license, describing the matter as a "political scandal."

He added: "The state bears its historical responsibility over what happened ... The people came in thousands from everywhere, but they found everything closed ... What Tunisia is exposed to at this critical time is a brotherhood conspiracy."

He explained: "the Brotherhood is standing firmly so that we do not pass for the next stage, in uncoverng the files of corruption and terrorism ... Ennahda conspires against Tunisia by all standards."

Earlier, the Tunisian parliament held a session over suspicious role played by Parliament Speaker Rashid Ghannouchi in Libya, and on Tunisian diplomacy, where representatives called for withdrawing confidence from him.

The movement’s leader, Ghannouchi, after frequent contacts with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his congratulations to the Fayez Al-Sarraj government and its militias, for controlling parts of Libyan soil, has become a provocation for all the major political forces in the country.

The Tunisian General Labor Union, the largest union force in Tunisia, which has a political weight that exceeds many parties, issued a strongly worded statement, condemning what a number of countries are doing to transfer thousands of terrorists from the Syrian front to Libya, which constitutes a direct threat to Tunisia’s security and stability.
