The station consists of four APR-1400 nuclear reactors with a total capacity of 5,600 MW.

The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) is the entity responsible for the deployment, ownership, and operation of nuclear energy plants in the UAE.

Both Nawah Energy Company (NEC) and the ENEC  have announced that the nuclear plant was furnished technically to run at once.

The evaluation of the international team is one of the important assessments in that field as it coincides with the world nuclear standards.

The UAE is a member of the federation.

The experts conducted those evaluations in November 2019 to guarantee the safety of the operation of the nuclear plant.

They examined the system of operating, readiness for emergency and maintenance operations.

Also, a number of local and international teams examined the UAE nuclear plants over the last few years.

Cooperation with international nuclear organizations is one of the noticeable articles of Document of the UAE Policy of 2008 to frame the development of the peaceful nuclear program.

The site will be home to four APR-1400 nuclear energy plants. Unit 1 is scheduled to enter commercial operations in 2020, with one additional reactor coming online each year until 2020 - pending regulatory approvals.
