Banque Misr announced on Saturday the death of one of its employees due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The assistant general manager of the international transactions sector Mohamed Ali Hassan Abu Khouda has passed away at the age of 60 as a result of COVID -19 in one of the Hospitals, where he was subject to quarantine and medical care since May 21.
The bank confirmed in a statement that Khouda started his career as a banker in the Cairo branch, which spanned more than 35 years, and concluded with the position of assistant general manager of the international transactions sector.
Banque Misr stresses that the safety and health of its employees and clients are at the forefront of its concerns and priorities.
Banque Misr takes all precautionary measures to confront COVID
The bank was keen, since the beginning of the crisis and before the emergence of any confirmed cases, to follow all instructions of the Ministry of Health, while taking all preventive and precautionary measures to confront the virus at all levels by sterilizing workplaces periodically and by providing antiseptics and protective masks for employees, as well as following up cases of workers, who feel symptoms and other related procedures.
It was also keen to provide all banking services through various electronic channels, in addition to preparing contingency plans to deal with these types of crises in a manner that guarantees safety for all inpiduals and ensures workflow, due to the leading and vital role that the bank play in serving the national economy, especially In times of crisis.
