Banks to Take Official Leave on Occasions of Labour Day, Eid Al-Fitr

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) decided to suspend the work of all banks operating in Egypt from Sunday, May 1 until Thursday, May 5, 2022.

The central bank said in a statement, “On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr and the Workers’ Day, it was decided to suspend work in banks throughout the next week, provided that work will resume on the morning of Sunday, May 8.

PM Mostafa Madbouly had issued a decision that the period from Saturday, April 30 until Thursday, May 5 will be an official paid holiday in ministries, government departments, public bodies, local administration units and sector companies, general and public business sector companies on the occasion of Labor Day and Eid Al Fitr.
