Banks, Stock Market to Take Official Leave during Eid Al-Fitr

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced the suspension of work in all banks for a period of five days starting Wednesday, May 12 until Sunday, May 16 on the occasion of celebrating Eid Al Fitr.

CBE stated on Thursday that work at banks will be resumed on Monday, May 17.

On the other hand, the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) also announced the suspension of the stock market starting Wednesday May 12 until Sunday May 16, on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

Work on the stock exchange will resume as of next Monday's trading session.
