On Tuesday, the Administration of Banha University's Hospitals denied recording any cases of Monkeypox, refuting the latest posts on social media claimed that the hospitals recorded a Monkeypox case.
The statement read that the administration of the hospitals, headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Banha University Dr. Mohamed Al Ashhab, and the Head of the Board of Directors of Banha University Hospitals Dr. Amr El Dakhakhny, denied the reports about recording a Monkeypox case.
Therefore, the administration urged the Egyptians to not follow any fake news, asserting that the media office of the hospitals is the only official channel to announce any news or updates related to the university's hospitals.
It added that the administration will take all legal actions against the platforms which shared and reported the fake news about recording a Monkeypox case at one of the university's hospitals on social media.
