An anonymous gunman shot and killed Mohib Ullah, a Rohingya community leader, outside his office in southern Bangladesh, the world's largest refugee camp, on September 30, according to Sputnik.

According to authorities, fighting occurred between two groups on Friday at a Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh's Cox's Bazar District, on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border, killing at least seven people and injuring many more.

"The casualties occurred during the clashes between two groups. One Rohingya man has been detained with weapons and police are conducting raids in the camp to arrest those involved in the incident," Shihab Kaiser Khan, the commander of Armed Police Battalion (APBn)-8 told Daily Star, Bangladesh's prominent news outlet.

According to regional police, attackers shot and murdered some people and stabbed others with knives.

The Rohingyas are a Muslim minority group in Myanmar's coastal region. Thousands of people fled Myanmar's western Rakhine state to India and Bangladesh after the state security forces launched a severe operation against them in August 2017.

The Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) is claimed to be behind the killings, according to local media.

The ARSA is a militant group that was responsible for attacks on Myanmar security personnel in 2017, sparking a military crackdown and a large migration of 740,000 Rohingyas to Bangladesh.

ARSA, on the other hand, has yet to claim responsibility for the strike.
