In the same vein, the TV Presenter stressed the need for the Yemeni people to unite with the Presidential Council headed by Al-Alimi to calm the unsafe and unstable situation in the state.

On his part, U.S. President Joe Biden welcomed the extension of the truce, praising the role of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Jordan in facilitating its achievement.

Biden asserted that ending the war in Yemen was and will remain one of the most important priorities of his administration, noting that American diplomacy will not rest until a lasting peace settlement is established, according to Alhurra.

In his previous remarks, Biden said: “The ceasefire must be adhered to, and as I have said before, it is imperative that we end this war. After seven years of conflict, negotiators must undertake the hard and necessary work to reach political compromises that can bring about an enduring future of peace for all the people of Yemen.”
