The CAF Referees Committee on Saturday named Gambian referee, Bakary Gassama, to take charge of the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals between Al-Ahly and South African Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) revealed that 10,000 fans will be allowed to attend the first leg, which is scheduled to be held at Al-Salam Stadium on February, 29th.

On the other hand, the winner of Al Ahyl’s clash against Sundowns will face either Étoile Sportive du Sahel or Wydad in the Semi-finals as the first leg will be held on May 1 or 2, while the second leg will be on May 8 or 9.
Al-Ahly will be in a repeat of their clash against Sundowns at the same round last season, which witnessed a humiliating elimination for the Reds.
The Red Devils suffered a 5-0 loss at the first leg in South Africa and they could not bounce back at the second leg in Egypt which ended with a 1-0 win for Al-Ahly.
The Red Devils have won a record 8 CAF Champions League titles and they aim to achieve the long-awaited title as the club last won the title in 2013.
