Bahraini Foreign Minister (FM) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani discussed with Secretary-General of United Nations (UN) Antonio Guterres, aspects of bilateral cooperation between Bahrain, UN and its various agencies.
The meeting came on the sidelines of thr 78th session of United Nations General Assembly.
The two sides reviewed ways to support, enhance and develop cooperation relations, in addition a number of topics of common interest.
During the meeting, Bahraini FM conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for the good efforts made by the Secretary-General to enhance international cooperation to meet the challenges of the times and support the efforts of member states to achieve the goals of the United Nations and establish foundations of security, peace and development for all peoples around the world.
For his part, UN Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for the distinguished cooperation provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain to international efforts and the outstanding achievements achieved by the sustainable development process in the Kingdom.
