Bahrain will suspend entry of travellers from countries on its ‘Red List’, starting from 24 May, BNA news agency announced on Sunday.
The countries on the 'Red List' include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
Bahraini citizens and residency visa holders are not covered by the suspension; however, they will have to provide a PCR test before boarding a plane and quarantine for 10 days upon arrival, BNA added.
Moreover, the country will apply precautionary 10-day quarantine to vaccinated and non-vaccinated inpiduals from all other countries, in their homes or in places licensed for quarantining.
The country reported 214,870 coronavirus cases, 814 deaths and 193,337 recovered.
