The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) announced on Sunday that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and neutralized a large-scale aerial attack. Military officials confirmed the destruction of 45 missiles and nine Iranian-made drones during the operation.
High-Alert Defense Operations
According to an official statement from the BDF, the air defense network "effectively countered hostile Iranian attacks" targeting the Kingdom. Among the intercepted assets were several Shahed-136 suicide drones, a model frequently utilized in regional drone warfare.
The General Command emphasized that its forces remain on high alert and are fully prepared to deal with any further threats to the nation's security and territorial integrity.
Protecting Civilians and Infrastructure
"Our defense systems are at the highest level of readiness to handle any threats that touch the safety of the homeland," the BDF statement read, as reported by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
Specialized field teams are currently securing impact sites where debris from the interceptions landed to ensure the safety of all citizens and residents. The BDF credited the "vigilance and readiness" of its personnel for preventing casualties and major damage during the barrage.
