Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, has reaffirmed the Kingdom’s steadfast commitment to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. Speaking on Tuesday, the Minister emphasized that Bahrain’s foreign policy continues to prioritize the "two-state solution" as the only viable path to lasting regional peace.

According to a report by Youm7, Al-Zayani highlighted the success of the 33rd Arab Summit (The Bahrain Summit), which introduced several royal initiatives. Chief among these is the call for an international peace conference to finalize the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state. The Minister also noted that Bahrain is actively working with other Arab nations to secure full United Nations membership for Palestine.

Support for International Peace Efforts Minister Al-Zayani pointed to the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who chaired the Extraordinary Arab Summit ("The Palestine Summit"). He underscored Bahrain’s support for international frameworks, including U.S. peace plans for Gaza, which focus on delivering humanitarian aid and initiating comprehensive reconstruction efforts.

Regional Integration and Security Beyond the Palestinian cause, the Foreign Minister lauded the outcomes of the 46th GCC Summit hosted by Bahrain. He stated that the Kingdom remains dedicated to Gulf integration, particularly in the fields of security, defense, and digital transformation. Al-Zayani emphasized that a cohesive GCC is essential for maintaining a balanced diplomatic stance in the evolving international system.

The Minister concluded by reaffirming Bahrain’s rejection of foreign interference in Arab affairs, stressing the importance of safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all Arab nations.
