Bahgat Al Obeidi, the Egyptian writer based in Austria, and the founder of the World Federation of Egyptian Citizens Abroad, said that the scene circulated by the global media about thousands of British and foreign visitors lined up in front of Saatchi Hall that embraces King Tutankhamun exhibition, made the Egyptians abroad feel proud of their ancient civilization.
Al Obeidi added that foreigners in general and Europeans in particular adore Egypt immensely, and appreciate the ancient Egyptian civilization, “the European people dream of visiting Egyptian monuments,” the Egyptian writer said.
According to Al Obeidi, one of the reasons for visiting Egypt and watching Egyptian antiquities represent a dream for Europeans; the European countries allocate chapters in the educational curricula about the Egyptian civilization, especially in the early stages of education.
The founder of the World Federation of Egyptian Citizens Abroad confirmed that Tutankhamun exhibition in the British capital of London will be one of the encouraging and driving forces to increase the number of British and Europeans tourists in Egypt, which leads to an increase in the number of tourists.
Al Obeidi called on the Egyptian people to be gentle with tourists, as the tourism sector is one of the most important sources of foreign currency needed by the country, and one of the most important streams of the Egyptian national income. He also called for teaching tourism subject at primary and preparatory stages of education.
