'Back to Film' Exhibition to Kick off Tonight at Ismailia Int'l Fest

Ismailia International Festival for Documentaries and Shorts will host a photography exhibition, called Back to Film, on Sunday.

This exhibition will target shedding light on cinematic digital photography, and reviving the concepts of making use of the raw film.

The 23rd Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentaries and Shorts kicked off at Ismailia Cultural Center on Thursday.

The Minister of Culture Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, and Ismailia Governor Sherif Fahmy Beshara were the head of the opening ceremony’s audience.

Iconic Documentaries Director Awaad Shoukry was honored during the celebration, in addition, several shorts distributed by Clermont – Ferrand Internation Short Film Festival were screened.

The program included four films from France, Netherlands, Spain, and Switzerland. The total of the film screening time was only 50 minutes, and they focused on the performance of the actors and their cinematic interactions.

Founded in 1991, the festival is one of the oldest specialized cinema festivals in the MENA region, and it is an annual event.
