A newborn's birth aboard a EgyptAir plane landed the baby the ultimate birthday gift – free air travel with the airline for life.

EgyptAir announced that it will grant a life-long ticket to a baby girl that was delivered on flight MS777.

A Yemeni woman called Hiyam Nasr Nagi Daaban, 38, gave birth to the girl on Tuesday with help of the cabin crew.

The captain of the EgyptAir, heading from Cairo to London, decided to make an emergency landing in the city of Munich after being notified that Daaban was experiencing sudden, unexpected labor pain as the plane was passing in the vicinity of the German airspace.

Pilot. Amr Abu El-Enein, Chairman and CEO of EGYPTAIR Airlines, requested an emergency landing, but the new mother had delivered the baby before the plane lands at the Munich Airport.
