Azhar University has launched in collaboration with UNICEF a new entrepreneurship curriculum program that aims at enhancing students' skills and informing them about sustainable economic systems.

Through the new program called ‘Meshwary’, nearly 35,000 Azhar students and Muslim outstandings will be trained well, according to Azhar University representative Mohamed Sedik.

‘Meshwary’ also gives young students who are enrolled in Azhar institutions the opportunity to gain an appreciation for UN values, enhance their ability to participate successfully in the socio-economic development of their countries, and improve their chances of participating in international education and exchange programs.

It’s worth mentioning that Azhar University was established about A.D. 970 in Cairo, Egypt, and is a center of Islamic learning. Al-Azhar University offers courses in Islamic theology, Islamic law, Arabic studies, medicine, engineering, and agriculture.

Nearly 90,000 students attend the university, which has two major campuses in the Cairo area and four other campuses located in other cities in Egypt.
