Azerbaijani FM, OIC Chief Discuss Co-op Agenda for 2023

Jeyhun Bayramov, the foreign minister of Azerbaijan, and Hissein Brahim Taha, the secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), reviewed plans for the near future and spoke about key topics on the agenda of the organisation.

Jeyhun Bayramov stressed Azerbaijan and the OIC's collaboration during the phone call in a number of fields, including politics, economy, culture, and education. He commended the conversations that occurred both at the UN General Assembly and the secretary-visit general's to Azerbaijan.

The officials emphasised upcoming events, such as preparations for the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers' 49th Session, which will be hosted in Mauritania in March 2023, and highlighted the success of recent collaborative events organised.

In order to combat problems like poverty, terrorism, and other dangers to world peace and security including intercultural and interreligious dialogue, they highlighted the need of cooperation and the necessity for OIC member states to cooperate.

Various regional issues were also considered by the parties.
