Austria’s defense minister Klaudia Tanner has tested positive for the new coronavirus, the spokesman for the Austrian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday.
"Russia Today" quoted a ministry spokesman as saying that Tanner is doing well and will continue working from home.
She had already been in quarantine for 10 days because she had been in contact with another person who tested positive.
Noteworthy, Austria’s Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg tested positive for the virus in mid-October and returned to his ministry later that month after showing no symptoms.
The Austrian Ministry of the Interior had announced that since the outbreak of the epidemic, 279,708 cases of Coronavirus had been recorded in the country, and 216,998 people had recovered from the virus.
