Austrian Parliament Speaker Praises Egypt’s Efforts to Promote Regional Stability

The Speaker of Austria’s Federal Parliament, Walter Rosenkranz, has commended Egypt’s efforts to promote stability and support peace in the Middle East and Africa, highlighting Cairo’s key role in addressing regional challenges.

Rosenkranz made the remarks during a meeting in Vienna with Egypt’s Ambassador to Austria and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and international organizations in Vienna, Mohamed Nasr. The Austrian parliamentary speaker praised Egypt’s ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions and restore stability across the region.

He also expressed appreciation for the long-standing relations between Egypt and Austria, describing the partnership as strong and steadily developing. Rosenkranz affirmed Austria’s interest in further strengthening cooperation with Egypt at both the bilateral and parliamentary levels.

In turn, Ambassador Nasr reviewed Egypt’s efforts to support regional security and stability, stressing Cairo’s commitment to political solutions and diplomatic engagement to resolve regional crises.

The meeting also discussed ways to expand cooperation between Egypt and Austria in areas of mutual interest, reflecting the two countries’ shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and supporting regional peace.
