Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese met Thursday with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang at a regional summit in Indonesia.

He stated that Australia and China had made progress in returning to unimpeded trade, but notes that more progress was needed.

Albanese said at the outset of the meeting, "The progress we have made in resuming trade without obstacles is good for both countries, and we want to see a continuation of this progress."

He added that Australian values ​​will not always coincide with Chinese values, but we know that dialogue is very important.

The Chinese Prime Minister invited Albanese to visit China, and Albanese replied that he is looking forward to visiting China this year.
