Australia has urged its citizens on Friday to leave Israel and the Palestinian territories if possible, citing a significant risk of military responses and terrorist attacks.
According to a travel advisory from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Australians in both Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories are encouraged to depart if it is safe to do so.
Earlier, the Australian government advised its citizens to avoid traveling to the region, and if concerned, they should leave.
This stern warning comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.
Australian diplomats noted that military attacks could result in airspace closures and the cancellation or redirection of flights, among other aviation disruptions.
They added that Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv may suspend operations due to heightened security concerns at any time and with short notice.
