Austin Says Russian Invasion of Ukraine Is 'Unjustified'

The US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said, on Tuesday, that Ukraine is responding to unprovoked Russian aggression and atrocities, noting that the US is continuing to help it defend itself.

In word before an international meeting to support Ukraine militarily, the US Secretary of Defense added that the Ukrainian forces are doing great defensive work.

Moreover, he praised the "fantastic" work done by the Ukrainian forces to counter the Russian military operation, which he described as "unjustified."

At the US Ramstein base in Germany, Austin said that the Russian military operation has entered its 62nd day, while the Ukrainian forces continue to confront valiantly, which is a source of inspiration for the free world and will be recorded in military history.
