AUC Ranking Jumps 25 Places in QS World Rankings
The American University in Cairo AUC organized on Tuesday a round-table entitled “A New Century - Priorities and Challenges”, as a part of the university 100th anniversary celebration.

"AUC" Counselor, Dr. Ashraf Hatem said that the university has worked to strengthen relations with other Egyptian universities during the last years.
“About 11 vocational rehabilitation centers (VRCs) have been opened in various Egyptian universities,” Hatem said, noting the "AUC" is currently holding negotiations with different public and private universities.
"AUC" agenda this week includes the opening of the water center at the Alexandria university; in addition, a number of "AUC" officials will visit Ain Shams university tomorrow to sign an agreement on the exchange of students and researches between the two universities, according to Hatem.
“An agreement has also been signed with the planning ministry to train Egyptian cadres before being transferred to the new administrative capital (NAC),” he added.
On his part, "AUC" academic provost" Ehab Abdel Rahman said that the "AUC" has jumped 25 places compared to last year in the 2020 QS World University Rankings, placing 395th globally.
He added that around 34 student exchange agreements have been signed between the "AUC" and various Egyptian universities, adding that in 2018, nearly 20 scholarships were approved in the humanities programs for outstanding students.
