AUC Allocates $ 24 Million Annually for Outstanding Students

Dr. Deena Boraie, Vice President for Student Life at the American University in Cairo (AUC) stated that 40% of the university students have a full scholarship, explaining that these opportunities are available to outstanding students.

“These grants are worth $ 24 million a year (equivalent to EGP400 million), where 20 scholarships are allocated to high school students,” Boraie said during her speech at the launch ceremony of the AUC Club for Journalists and Media, which was held at the university’s headquarters.

“The university opens its arms to all outstanding students. Grants are made for students from public schools and stem schools,” she explained.

“The university offers integrated education through various “cultural and social” activities,” she added. “The university has 20 sports teams.”

She continued: “The university has a student government and a student court that also address and works on solving the student problems under the supervision of the university,”

Noteworthy, AUC Media Club includes a group of writers, journalists, and media professionals.

It offers its members a range of exclusive services such as attending some special events and workshops, invitations to theatrical performances, films, and exhibitions, and book discounts at publishing houses.
