AU Commissioner Says Egypt 'on Right Track'

The African Union (AU) Commissioner for Trade, Industry, and Development Albert Muchanga affirmed on Wednesday, that Egypt is moving on the right track.

Muchanga’s remarks came, on the sidelines of ‘Egypt Can with Industry’ conference, hosted in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Moreover, he added, "We are working to activate the African Continental Free Trade Area, which will serve our peoples and will enable them to Create economies that benefit investors.”

Regarding the “Egypt Can with Industry” conference, the African Commissioner highlighted the great importance of this event, especially that the African Business Council, which was established by the heads of state of the AU, succeeded in bringing together several economists from all over Africa to participate in this conference.

In addition, Muchanga praised the participation of young entrepreneurs in the conference, who presented their experiences and successes in Africa, concluding his speech by saying: “We have the practical result of ‘Egypt Can’ Conference, represented in the commercial deals that were concluded after the discussions.”
