At least two civilians were killed and three others injured in a missile strike by Ukrainian forces on Belgorod, according to the region’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
The attack targeted the southwestern Russian city on Friday, causing significant damage to infrastructure, including electricity, heating, and water services. Windows and facades of three residential buildings were shattered, and several vehicles were damaged.

Among the injured were three men: one in serious condition transported to the regional hospital by ambulance, and two others suffering from shrapnel injuries treated at Belgorod City Hospital No. 2.
Governor Gladkov confirmed the attack as a Ukrainian missile raid, emphasizing the toll on both civilians and critical infrastructure.
The strike caused widespread disruption to essential services, leaving residents without power, heat, and running water. Emergency crews are assessing structural damage and attending to affected families.
The incident marks one of the latest escalations in the ongoing conflict along the Russia–Ukraine border, highlighting the persistent risk to civilian populations in affected regions.
